Maverick Network Solutions, a Wilmington-based company that provides corporations with a wide variety of advanced payment solutions, has moved to new offices in Concord Plaza in Talleyville and added staff to meet the growing demand for new types of payment technologies that benefit both businesses and consumers. “We announced in January, in the wake of receiving venture-fund backing, that Maverick would be looking to increase staff in order capitalize on trends in the payment industry,” said Jim Shanahan, CEO, Maverick Network Solutions. With consumers continuing to increase their use of debit versus credit cards, and with merchants continuing to look for more cost-effective ways to achieve customer loyalty, there has been an upsurge in Maverick’s Private Label Debit Card as well as our reward and prepaid cards. This necessitated adding staff and relocating to give us the added capacity we need.” Joining the company is Jonathan Bruns, vice president of sales and Michael Nevin, national sales manager. Bruns has more than 15 years of payments industry experience, most of which involved national and major market-sized clients. In addition to developing numerous strategic partnerships, Bruns has served as vice president of sales for Stored Value Solutions and regional sales manager for Certegy/Equifax, Inc. Bruns also has managed business development for American Express Company. Nevin was co-founder and president of InTheSportlight, where he pioneered a nationwide athletic facility media and marketing network and developed a proprietary software application for tracking and managing marketing campaigns. He also worked with J. Morgan Chase and served as director of corporate sales for Ecount (now Citi® Prepaid Services), where he developed and implemented corporate payment programs for the company’s Fortune 500 clients. |
