Jim Shanahan
Chief Executive Officer
Jim has over 25 years experience in the card
business with industry leaders, startups and
consulting firms. He was CEO of Card Alliance
Network Company, the first card processing
company in mainland China, General Manager of
MBNA’s Merchant Processing and Acquiring
Division and Managing Partner of Business
Dynamics, a leading card consulting firm, where
he provided strategic consulting services to the
card industry in the United States and 15 other
countries. Jim also has extensive new product
development and marketing experience. He was
formerly Senior Vice President of Marketing for
MasterCard International, Vice President of New
Products for JP Morgan Chase and Director of
Marketing for American Express. He has served on
the Board of Directors of the American Marketing
Association and was Chairman of the Services
Marketing Division. |

Peter Quadagno
Chief Operating Officer
Peter has over 27 years experience in
the card business with industry leaders,
start-ups and consulting firms. He held both
Director and Vice President level positions
with the Metropolitan Transportation Authority
in New York City where he was responsible
for the launch of MetroCard, a stored value card
for rapid transit. He also worked for
Electronic Payment Systems, now owned by First
Data Corporation, where he helped
implement VisaCash and Florida State
University’s smart card system. He was a member of the
executive team of Orbnet, a start-up company and
provider of non-financial MAV services.
As a consultant, he developed and implemented
the first ever non-financial MAV program
for Qwest Communications International. Peter
has also worked for NCR Corporation,
Manufacturers Hanover Trust Company and Carmody
& Company, with a focus on ATM
and debit card products. |

David Lipkin
General Counsel and Chief Administrative
Officer
David has more than 35 years general
business banking, commercial, computer
and securities law practice. He was a founder
and principal legal adviser of the MAC EFT
Network, which became the largest EFT network in
the United States. He served as its
Chief Counsel for more than 18 years, and in
1992 led the legal effort to form Electronic
Payment Services, Inc., a joint venture
previously owned by 6 leading banks that was
sold to Concord EFS, which was later acquired by
First Data Corporation. He also
represented the Integrion Financial Network, a
home banking joint venture originally
formed by IBM and 16 of the largest banks in
North America. David was also formerly
Counsel and Deputy Chief Counsel of CoreStates
Financial Corp. |

Tony Newshel
Chief Technology Officer
Tony has 30 years of experience in information systems, technology and operations within the financial services, commercial and consumer banking, health care, and insurance industries. His distinguished career has been focused on high volume, information intensive financial transaction products including ATM, POS, card management and authorization (credit, debit and prepaid/stored value cards), check processing, wholesale and retail lockbox, Internet banking and eCommerce. Tony has overseen all aspects of software development and technology operations while serving as executive vice president, managing director and CIO/CTO for third-party processing companies, national EFT and card processing networks and top-10 U.S. commercial banks, including U.S. Bank, Elan Financial Services, Genpass Technologies, QuestPoint Information Systems, First Union, CoreStates Financial Corp, STAR Systems and the Money Access Service (MAC). |
